1. It’s Environmentally Friendly

Powder coating is the ultimate environmentally friendly metal finish. It contains no harsh chemicals, has no harmful off-gassing and creates virtually no waste. Traditional metal finishing products are suspended in a volatile liquid which must evaporate in order to set the finish. The liquids typically give off large amounts of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs) while evaporating. All of which are harmful to the environment. In some cases, the EPA reports that powder coating can reduce VOCs and HAPs by 95-99%. This alone should convince you that powder coating is the best metal finishing option available.

2. Powder Coating is the Most Durable

Go outside and look at some painted metal. You’ll see that it’s cracked, chipped and peeling away. That leaves an opening for rust to take its hold and start eating away at your metal products. Because of powder coating’s unique application process you get a layer of paint that is consistent everywhere. The thickness is precisely controlled by an electric current. This means that when the powder is melted to set it that you get no runs, no bubbles and no blobs.
